AS THE AUTHORIZING OFFICIAL

HOW DO I?

You have been named as the Authorizing Official for an organization being enrolled in ASAP.gov . First, you must verify and complete the basic information for your recipient organization. If this has not been done, select "Define Recipient Organization Information" from the drop down menu. You must then name the users who will need to access the ASAP.gov by selecting "Define Users and Roles" from the drop down menu. The users that can be defined are the " Payment Requestor " and "Inquirer Only". These people are responsible for the following:

Payment Requestor - is the person that will request Federal funds on behalf of your organization from the Federal agency (s) you do business with. Payment Requestors are automatically given the Inquirer access.

Inquirer Only - is the person that can view any information in ASAP.gov relating to your organization.

ALL USERS MUST COMPLETE THEIR ASSIGNED TASK WITHIN 45 DAYS FROM BEING NOTIFIED BY ASAP.GOV. IF YOU DO NOT TAKE ACTION WITHIN 45 DAYS, THE ENROLLMENT FOR YOUR RECIPIENT ORGANIZATION WILL BE CANCELED, AND THE RECIPIENT ORGANIZATION WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRAW FEDERAL FUNDS FROM ASAP.GOV.

HOW DO I POINTERS

How do I access the new Recipient Organization to add the users and roles? I received an email notification , but don’t see the organization in ASAP.gov.

An email notification is generated as soon as the organization’s Point of Contact defines you in the application. However, if the Head of Organization or Re-delegated Head of Organization has not yet approved you as the Authorizing Official, this organization will not be available to you.

How do I add new users and roles to a new organization? I received a notification that I was designated as the Authorizing Official, but I can’t get to it in the application.

Before adding the users and their roles, you must define the Recipient Organization information. This option will be available to you from the Enrollments drop down menu.

How do I update the profile of a new user that I am adding?

If the individual you are adding is a new user to ASAP.gov and/or has not yet been provisioned in the TWAI, i.e. reset their password and answered their authentication questions, you can edit their profile via the Edit Details icon on the Review step of “Add Officials.”

How do I add only an Inquirer to a new organization?

If this organization doesn’t already have a Payment Requestor defined, you must add one before you can add an Inquirer Only.

How do I find the status of a new organization’s enrollment?

Select “Recipient Enrollment Inquiry” from the Inquiries drop down menu. This will identify the status of each step in the enrollment process and whether this organization is active or still pending.

I have defined a payment requestor for a new Recipient Organization, but this individual hasn’t been notified. Why not?

The payment requestor will not receive an email notification until the organization is Active.
